DHL Express name Markus Reckling as German CEO

Markus Reckling (left) has been appointed CEO for DHL Express in Germany.

Effective from January, Reckling has taken on responsibility for continuing the expansion of the express division’s business in the country, and will keep a focus on customer service, quality and employee engagement.

He has over 15 years of senior management experience within the Deutsche Post DHL Group, serving as executive vice president for corporate development from 200, taking up the role of CEO of DHL Express in Turkey four years later.

John Pearson, CEO of DHL Express Europe, said, “Markus Reckling oversaw a period of sustained growth and strengthened market leadership in Turkey, in which DHL Express received external recognition as both an employer and provider of choice.

“His experience, business acumen and customer focus will be a great asset to our time definite business in Germany.”

Technology developer Tompkins Robotics has partnered with IT provider Lab Z to launch its t-Sort portable, automated sortation system. The new solution uses a network of automated drones fitted with tilt trays to harmoniously sort parcels and packets into dedicated containers.
