Post and parcel carrier TNT UK has unveiled its plans to build a new 600,000ft² state-of-the-art sorting center in Dartford in southeast England. Commercial property developer Exton Estates is responsible for carrying out the project, which has a completion date of the second quarter of 2017.

Steve Meadows, international network and operations director, TNT UK International and Ireland, said, “We’re delighted to announce this new phase of investment in our network. The Dartford area was chosen for its strong road links and proximity to the southeast of England and Greater London, as well as both ferry and Eurotunnel services.”

James Mawson, director of Exton Estates, said, “We are pleased to be working with TNT on this new distribution hub and will have the building ready for handover in September. We believe that the site’s premier location, just off Junction 1a of the M25, will ensure that TNT can operate successfully, drawing on good quality employment from the Dartford area.”
