Hermes has announced a new partnership with Skcin, a UK-based melanoma and skin cancer charity, to deliver lifesaving awareness and educational resources across the UK free of charge.

Skcin’s educational resources cover four national accreditation programs and support a number of education and business environments including primary schools, pre-schools, workplaces and the hair, health and beauty industries. The charity also experiences high demand from hospitals, dermatology departments, GP practices, health centers, supportive charities, and individuals raising awareness nationwide.

Nick Houghton, head of UK and international, Hermes UK, said, “We’re proud to be able to support such a great cause by offering our market leading delivery services to Skcin. We have committed two years of support which will hopefully enable Skcin to continue its valuable work offering advice and support to schools, hospitals and workplaces.”

Marie Tudor, business development manager, Skcin, added, “As the UK’s only melanoma and skin cancer charity, dedicated to prevention and early detection, Skcin produces an extensive library of resources to support us in meeting these key objectives.

“Education is key to influencing behaviors to prevent around 86% of all melanoma cases and by increasing our knowledge of how to detect skin cancer in its early stages, we can dramatically improve prognosis and save lives.

“Skcin relies on donations to fund its vital work with a large percentage used to develop, produce and of course deliver these resources that are making a huge impact and are integral to our success.

“To have this support from Hermes is a welcomed and hugely appreciated gesture of goodwill that will help us reduce our costs and plough any savings back in to the dedicated work we do.”
