DDC and SHOP.CA will immediately commence testing and integration of the drone delivery platform within SHOP.CA’s logistics framework. The aim is to utilize DDC’s technology to provide an unparalleled, just in time delivery service for SHOP.CA customers who desire immediate product delivery. The drone delivery service will be commercially available to customers once government approvals have been obtained.

Trevor Newell, president and founder of SHOP.CA, said, “This partnership marks a milestone for our company. By embracing DDC’s next generation drone technology, we are further fortifying our commitment to innovation and adding value to our customers.”

Tony Di Benedetto, CEO at DDC, said, “Collectively we will bring a new level of retail experience to Canadian consumers. SHOP.CA customers will have increased flexibility to have their orders delivered instantly, utilizing DDC’s next generation drone delivery technology.”
